On 3 September 2019, CENTRAL will officially launch its new mobile app. Through CENTRAL’s app, users will be able to easily access information and news related to labour rights, human rights and other issues in Cambodia, as well as issues facing Cambodian migrant workers abroad.
CENTRAL’s Facebook Live Shows, videos and short clips will be broadcasted through the app, giving users the option of watching live broadcast or replaying them later on. Additionally, CENTRAL will post video tutorials through the app, teaching users valuable skills on digital security. Most importantly, CENTRAL’s app has a chat feature, enabling users to communicate directly with CENTRAL’s team. The chat feature can be utilised by users to ask questions or as a confidential way to report their own labour issues to CENTRAL for intervention and assistance.
The app will be available for download by both Android and iOS. CENTRAL’s app will not ask users to submit any personal information, nor will it collect any such information from users.
CENTRAL’s team shall launch the app through an online Facebook Live event on CENTRAL’s Facebook Page on 3 September 2019 at 11:00 AM.
